We all have our own precious files on our computers. They may be photos, music, videos or just word processing documents.
So many people don’t bother backing up their files and run the risk of losing all their hard work.
We all know that computers “shouldn’t go wrong” and that “viruses shouldn’t be so prevalent”. But this is the real world and computers DO go wrong and viruses DO exist.
Any kind of computer failure may result in the loss of data, so a regular back up is the best way to protect your work.
When a computer goes wrong, there is always a chance that data can be recovered, buts ask yourself this: “what would happen if my computer was stolen?” – the computer itself could be replaced in a matter of hours – but the files may take months to recreate or may be irreplaceable – photos of a wedding or christening for example.
Bet you’re thinking about when you did your last back up!
